What To Do During The 11 Plus Tests
- Children should listen to the invigilator’s instructions very carefully and avoid getting distracted by other activities in the class such as other kids crying or someone coming and going in the classroom. If they have any doubt about any instructions, they should raise their hands and ask the invigilator immediately.
- The child should arrange their items such as pencil case etc. on the desk neatly, keep the water bottle on the floor to avoid any spillages on the desk.
- They should be calm and collected once they get the question papers and write their roll number etc very neatly in the boxes provided on the paper. They should then start the test in a practiced methodical manner without panicking. This is why appearing in a few mock tests help.

- If they are stuck on a question, they should move on and come back to it if there is time at the end.
- Tell your child to keep an eye on the time and if needed they can always check with the invigilator how much time is left. This will help you make sure they don’t run out of time when there are questions remaining to complete.
- The child should not, in any circumstance, try any sort of cheating in the test as they will be disqualified immediately by the invigilator and be asked to leave the classroom.
- Once the paper is finished, follow the invigilators instructions and hand over the paper to them.
- If your child becomes unwell during the test, tell him that he will need to inform the invigilator so that they can note it. Afterwards you may try to get written confirmation from the exam centre or
